Welcome to the website of SFM Developments Ltd. We provide specialist anglers with select items of tackle that will make a difference to their angling. This involves sourcing, researching, developing, manufacturing and testing kit that we use and trust ourselves. The Development Team are always busy, fishing hard and working hard refining the choice of products we offer. We take our fishing seriously and we hope this is reflected in the products we promote. Through our website you will be able to find information about and purchase what we feel are some of the best specialist angling and outdoors products on the market for the job intended. We don't intend to re-invent the wheel, so if somebody already makes a product that we use and trust, we will tell you about it and how we use it.
Summer is with us and the close season spring carping has given way to summer barbel fishing. The awesome Biored keeps on catching for the team wherever they go. Sam is pictured here with a scaley beauty from a Berkshire Club Water. Dan is enjoying the lull before the fatherhood storm and concentrating on the same venue. Dr Eric has a new Tarpon PB of 52lb on the fly, pictures to follow of his Cuban trip as soon as the article is finished!
Coaching has now taken off with the approval of Sam as an official Cemex Angling Coach alongside Ian Russel, Neil Wayte and Dave Gawthorne. An advert for Sam's Guiding and Coaching is currently running in the CEMEX Angling guidebook. Call Sam on 07930 508976 for details on the Coaching and Guiding he can provide on Cemex venues..
Barry enjoyed continured success at CEMEX Anglings Boat Pool with a new pb and venue record of 65lb 10oz. This complemented the 61lb 12oz cat he caught the week before and several backup fish! The SFM winchable worm rig doing the business, although the biggest of the pair (seen on the right) was stalked in the edge, good angling!
The river seaso has got off to a flier, with several doubles falling to the team. Sam got amongst them early on, followed by Matt Pawley bagging the monster 15lb 4oz in the gallery. Steve Morrison upped his barbel pb to a respectable 10lb exactly. All fish falling to the Biored, more proof as if it were needed.
Updated Coaching page detailing the Cemex venues available for tuition and guided days out can be found here.

We are based in the UK in the Thames and Colne Valleys, home to some of the finest coarse angling in the country. Between the anglers in the development team we have spent untold years in pursuit of fish of all species. Product development and research has been carried out over years of angling for fish both home and abroad. Distributed products are already tried and tested by the team to ensure you can have confidence in them. Some of them may need no introduction, whilst others are new to the UK marketplace. If we don't use it ourselves, we won't promote it.
Salt and freshwater, still and running, the team actively fish and use the products that are detailed on our website. We are also currently developing a range of products that will make a difference. These are developed to cope with the demands placed upon us by our specific styles of angling. We believe that you must give it 100% and with that we expect the equipment we use to not let us down.
