When my old bib and brace finally gave up the ghost (RIP) I had no
hesitation in turning to SFM Developments for a new one, Sam as always lined
me up with the PRO LOGIC MAX 4 THERMO ARMOUR SALOPETTES, in under a week I
was stood in Sams office (front room) trying on my new toy, although I have
only worn them in anger once (despite repeated requests from the missus to
parade round the bedroom in them) I thought I would share my views on them
with you, later on in the new season I will give you an update of how they
are performing.
Max 4 basically means they are a camou design, perfect for those spring
stalking sessions keeping you hidden from view of our quarry, the 5 (yes 5)
pockets means you can tuck away the essentials and never be short of a bit
of space to hide the sneaky hookbaits from your mates, 2 of the pockets are
fleece lined and happen to be in just the right position to keep your hands
nice and warm, conicidence? I think not.
The Neoprene shoulder straps are comfy yet practical and they keep the bib
and brace in position without slipping, pukka. The internal drawstring belt
keeps the fit nice and snug without making it feel like you are wearing a
corset (not that I know what that feels like).
The 8000mm waterproof rating got tested on its first outing as I got
absloutely peed on, not a single drop made it through to my baby soft skin,
the Pro Logic gear really was starting to impress me. The fleece lining kept
me really warm and toasty all day and there was no restriction of movement
at all, perfect. Nice little touches like the reinforced knees and bum make
it hard wearing im sure, especially when you are on your knees praying to
the carp gods, and the zipped and velcro ankles make it easy to slip on and
off over boots or shoes wth no hassle, does it get any better than this??
Well actually yes it does, one of the pockets is 100% waterproof perfect for
keeping mobile phones or piles of cash nice and dry, although the latter is
not a problem for me!
The sizes range from XS through to XXXXL so there is a size for everyone and
your dog, although the K9 range is yet to be released!
With an RRPof 79.99 these are very good value for money, in fact yes I will
say it, they are bloody brilliant value for money. Get a set right now, go
on pick up the phone, you know you want to.
