Sam Meeuwissen is the creative mind and inspiration behind SFM Developments. Growing up at the lower end of the Colne Valley, Sam spent most of his youth in and around Wraysbury 1 and 2 as well as the mighty Kingsmead, his spiritual home. His main angling passion is large windswept gravel pits and he targets all the species these venues contain. At home either waggler fishing for roach, drifting livebaits for pike and perch or margin and distance fishing for carp he does it all.
Recent times has seen a structured and dedicated assault on his local rivers to great effect after the barbel which have graced his net in droves. A lifetime spent by the water ensures Sam never strays far from somewhere or something to wet a line for.
Sam takes his fishing seriously. With the position of Head Bailiff for Cemex Angling's Kingsmead Islands and a qualified Level 2 PAA Coach, Sam's opinon and belief in the attitude and equipment you need is well respected. This he demonstrates by being horribly consistent to the point of jamminess. The 'Three Weedbeds and an Island' story bears testament to this as Dr Eric and Lewis will testify.
A published writer for several angling publications and a Moderator for the very busy Cemex Angling web forum, Sam's comments, thoughts and ideas are very much his own and he is not afraid to share them. A proud member and supporter of ECHO, BCSG and the SCBI.
